When my friends returned from their holiday they presented me with some very generous and beautiful gifts - a pot of honey from the pure Ligurian bees from Kangaroo Island and these gorgeous earrings from Wish Ware Designs that I absolutely love. The square pieces are Scrabble squares!
It was such a generous gift, especially as they also took me and my mum out for dinner and left some yummy wine for me at the start. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the lovely Robinsons (and Megsie).The house sitting experience was not without incident though. There was the terrifying experience with the huntsman although thankfully (and very luckily) Travis was around to save the day there.
Then there was Megsie's surprise...
I was asleep one night when around 3am I was woken by a noise. Megsie had come into my room and was playing with her squeaky toy...Hang on, she doesn't have a squeaky toy. I switched on the light and there is Megsie proudly playing with a mouse! So I did the only thing any self respecting girly girl would do - I screamed...and screamed and screamed. Until finally Megsie got the hint and took her 'toy' outside. I slept with the bedroom door closed from that then on. Apparently she's only ever done that once before (in her 10 years) so I was very special!
Apart from that it was a mostly good cat sitting experience. It may have even changed my mind about owning a cat one day...just don't tell Travis!
